Principal's Message

Welcome to the Glenview Middle School web site. As Principal, I believe you will find our website informative and a useful tool to gather information regarding Glenview Middle School.

Glenview is an outstanding middle school where we are committed to the success of each of our students. Strong parental involvement in the education of their children is a vital component to our success. Working together, we are helping the children grow into readers, writers, creative thinkers, and problem solvers, as we prepare them for life in the 21st century.

Glenview Middle School is based on the child-centered, team approach.  Each grade level 5 through 8 is divided into smaller learning teams.  These core teams of educators work together to address individual student needs and provide students the best educational opportunities available. This makes it possible for each student to achieve his or her potential in a safe and nurturing environment. Our School Improvement Plan guides our continuous school improvement efforts.

There are many ways for you to communicate with us. Our address, phone numbers, and email address are listed here on the website. The Building Leadership Team meets monthly to discuss, support, decide, and communicate school policy.  The Glenview Middle School PTO meets regularly and provides solid support for the students and staff. We look forward to hearing from you regarding anything that can help us continue to thrive as an excellent school.

Have a great year!

Jeff Fairweather
Principal

Hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infections. You can spread certain "germs" (a general term for microbes like viruses and bacteria) casually by touching another person. You can also catch germs when you touch contaminated objects or surfaces and then you touch your face (mouth, eyes, and nose).

"Good" hand washing techniques include using an adequate amount of soap, rubbing the hands together to create friction, and rinsing under running water.

Watch in this video as our nurse, Mrs. Jacobs, demonstrates the proper hand washing technique.
