Mariachi Band

Glenview is fortunate to have a new opportunity for students this year.  Students in grades 5-8 can participate afterschool learning to play in a Mariachi Band.  Under the guidance of Mr. Clark, 25 students practice their skills at playing the violin, trumpet and guitar.  WHBF TV4 recently did a report on our new program.  To see the video, please click on the link below.

Welcome to Glenview Middle School!

Attention Glenview Parents!

With the changeover from Poweer School to Skyward it has taken us some time to get the parent access portal set up.  If you returned the half sheet listing which email address you would like the login and password to be sent you should have received that by now.  If not please feel free to call the office (755-1919) so we can make sure we have the correct email address in order to get that sent to you.  Also, for those of you who requested a phone call Eva in the front office has been making those calls as she is able throughout the day.  For those of you who did not turn in the slip requesting family access, and you would like to have access to student grades and discipline information, as well as lunch information please don't hesitate to call us so we can make sure to get that set up for you.

Glenview Receives National Attention

Here is just another activity that is getting Glenview nationwide attention. Our students are featured in a video produced for 4-H on student leadership. Watch the learning modules and you will see our students shine.

This federal grant, along with community partnerships, will provide after school programming opportunities for the students and families of enrolled Deere students. Please feel free to contact Glenview with questions.

Health and Wellness

Hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of infections. You can spread certain "germs" (a general term for microbes like viruses and bacteria) casually by touching another person. You can also catch germs when you touch contaminated objects or surfaces and then you touch your face (mouth, eyes, and nose).

"Good" hand washing techniques include using an adequate amount of soap, rubbing the hands together to create friction, and rinsing under running water.

Watch in this video as our nurse, Mrs. Jacobs, demonstrates the proper hand washing technique.
